Science Officer and Lead - Health Sensitization

Dr. Joshitha Sankam is the Lead- Health Sensitization, Science Officer at Future Earth South Asia Regional Office. Her work lies in the domain of Health Sensitization in Food Security, Water Security, Clean Air and Health (FAWH) in South Asia for Future Earth. She earned her Bachelor's in Dentistry before going on to pursue her Master's degree in Public Health from Prasanna School of Public Health, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, with a specialization in Global Health, as an exchange student from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Previously, she worked as a Research Associate in the area of Climate change and health. She trained in 2020 as a Climate Reality Leader at The Climate Reality Project. She is also a part of the “Women Leaders of Planetary Health” community. Her other interests lie in the area of Planetary Health and International Relations. She envisions creating a sustainable and desirable future for all and bringing an impact at the population level. In her spare time, Joshitha enjoys traveling, art and music.
